Pickles 101 Class

Doreen Spires will teach you all about canning your cucumbers that you worked so hard to grow and make them into delicious dill pickles. Doreen will cover how to get started, the difference between the different canning methods, materials needed, altitude adjustments, head space, temperatures and shelf stability. They will also have canning jars available for purchase. Attendees are required to bring the following: knife, cutting board and measuring spoons.
