Seed Swap

The Seed Swap is a chance for gardeners of all experience levels to exchange seeds, share knowledge and diversify the gardens with locally adapted plants. Attendees can bring seeds from their own gardens and trade them for new varieties while learning about seed viability, storage and best practices.

During the Seed Swap, attendees can choose to participate in a variety of mini classes. The schedule is as follows.

  • 10:15 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. – Seed Viability and Germination Test: Get a better understanding of seed viability and the likelihood of germination from older seeds.
  • 10:45 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. – Seed Saving and Storage: Ensure seeds are stored properly to achieve best results for future plantings.
  • 11:15 a.m. and 1:15 p.m. – Seed Starting Mix: The pros and cons of using, buying or creating seed starting mix.
