DESCRIPTION:Desolation Hotel\, a new eco-luxury micro-resort opening in South Lake Tahoe in May 2022\, is hosting a fundraising drive and event\, where 100% of donations will be split evenly and benefit the Wildland Firefighter Foundation and the El Dorado Community Foundation’s Caldor Fire Fund. All donations up to a total of $50\,000 will be matched dollar for dollar by Desolation Hotel and Maggie’s Restaurant and Bar\, with the goal of raising $100\,000. Click here to donate. \nDesolation Hotel is hosting a donation-based\, kid-friendly Halloween Spookytacular at the site of the future property on Halloween from 3-6pm. Halloween Spookytacular will feature trick or treating\, carnival games\, music\, food and drinks. Suggested donations at the door are $100 per family\, although everyone is welcome\, and donations of any size are appreciated. Costumes optional but encouraged. \n
