SUMMARY:Growing Under the Stars with Master Gardeners: fall and winter gardening
DESCRIPTION:Leafy greens\, carrots\, beets\, radishes\, broccoli\, and cauliflower are never sweeter or more delicious than when grown in the fall.  Autumn can be the best time of year for your garden: more moderate temperatures\, fewer insect issues\, and great tasting vegetables are just a few reasons to garden in the fall.  Master Gardener Lori Evans will share her tips on how to prepare your garden for fall\, what to plant and when to plant it for gardening success.

SUMMARY:Water Efficient Gardening
DESCRIPTION:Water is a precious and expensive resource. Instead of letting your yard wither and die\, try a xeriscape or low-water garden and enjoy a more attractive alternative to an all-gravel or sagebrush garden. Save time on maintenance by using plants that are naturally adapted to dry climates and our mountainous environment. Become familiar with the wide range of plant textures and colors. You’ll find this class beneficial whether you are starting from scratch\, redoing your landscaping or seeking to enhance your existing garden with native and native-like plants.
