SUMMARY:Tahoe Symphony: St Matthew Passion LIVE
DESCRIPTION:The St. Matthew Passion was written for two separate Choirs\, accompanied by two small Orchestras. In most Arias\, only one Orchestra provides accompaniment. The Choirs are sometimes separated\, but more often sing in unison or antiphony – moving the story forward and also providing commentary on the events. At different times\, the Choruses appear as an unruly mob\, or quiet witnesses\, or actual participants in the story. \nOriginally composed in Bach’s native tongue\, German\, the Tahoe Symphony will perform Part Two of Passion in English to honor legacy while bringing the Passion story to life for a broader audience. \nDates/Times:\nMarch 22\, 7 pm\, Reno (St John’s Episcopal Church)\nMarch 24\, 4 pm\, Reno (Trinity Episcopal Church)\nMarch 27\, 7 pm\, Incline Village (St Francis of Assisi)\nMarch 29\, 5 pm\, Gardnerville (Trinity Lutheran Church)

SUMMARY:Killer Queen: A Tribute To Queen
DESCRIPTION:Killer Queen formed back in June 1993. Their first public shows were at London University\, following in the footsteps of the real Queen who had played their first shows there 21 years earlier. \nBy 1995 Killer Queen’s UK popularity had grown to such an extent they secured a residency in London’s Strand Theatre attracting nationwide BBC coverage – the first tribute to have a show in the West End. \nEven though the band never had any connection to Queen officially their reputation continued to grow both in the UK and abroad. In 1999 they returned from a tour of and Europe and Russia for an awards ceremony in Leicester Square\, hosted by Suggs from Madness. He announced they had won the award for “Worldwide Best Tribute Band”
