SUMMARY:Magique
DESCRIPTION:Kevin and Caruso have starred in\, and produced\, some of the biggest and longest running illusion shows in the world! Now\, they bring their technical wizardry\, artistic sensibility\, good natured grand illusions and audience participation to The Theatre; Reno’s wonderfully intimate and newest performing arts venue. \nMagique is staged and directed by seven-time “Show of the Year” award recipient\, Mistinguett. She remains one of the most distinctive and prolific choreographers of our time. \nMagique is loaded with stunning special effects\, dazzling costumes\, a catchy soundtrack\, multimedia backdrops\, synchronized lighting\, and grand illusions you wont forget! Yet in the midst of all the grandeur\, Kevin & Caruso’s sly sense of humor and youthful exuberance provide an engaging and light hearted intimacy.

SUMMARY:Gary Clark Jr.
DESCRIPTION:With his acclaimed debut Blak and Blu\, Gary Clark\, Jr. emerged at the dawn of the 2010s as the great hope for modern electric blues. He spent the rest of the decade fulfilling that promise\, both by continuing the blues-rock tradition and expanding it to encompass contemporary funk\, rock\, and hip-hop. Initially\, Clark played his cards relatively close to the vest\, emphasizing the blues heritage of his hometown in Austin\, Texas (and earning the endorsement of local legend Jimmie Vaughan). But Clark quickly took risks other contemporary blues guitarists didn’t\, collaborating with R&B singer Alicia Keys and modern rockers Foo Fighters\, while branching out to political protest on the charged 2019 album This Land.

SUMMARY:Reno Riverside Farmers Market
DESCRIPTION:The Riverside Farmers Market is Reno’s truly local market\, with all vendors growing\, raising\, or making their goods within the tightest possible radius around Reno. We showcase small\, local\, and sustainable farmers and ranchers who believe that healthy food begins with a healthy land. We also are home to Reno’s newest farmers and ranchers\, making it the perfect place to meet the\nfine folks growing food locally for the Truckee Meadows community. \nOur strong commitment to high-quality goods means that you can always count on things like pesticide-free produce or pasture-raised meats and eggs at our market. Even our prepared food vendors strive to use organic and unprocessed ingredients as we re-envision what a healthy food system looks like. \nThe Riverside Farmers Market is a taste of how all open-air markets and bazaars once were\, back when the land was less burdened with contamination and human intervention. It’s also a nod to the future\, as we connect a community of conscious consumers with local organic and regenerative farmers and ranchers\,\nand talented makers of things beautiful and delicious.

SUMMARY:LunaFest
DESCRIPTION:OUR STORY. OUR MISSION.\n\n\n\nBack in 1999\, LUNA® was introduced as the very first nutrition bar for women. The mission was to create momentum\, champion women\, and spark change. To fuel women’s ambition as well as their bodies. \nThat vision inspired us to create LUNAFEST® in 2001\, the world’s first all-women traveling film festival. \nFor the past 21 years\, we’ve celebrated a powerful and diverse set of women filmmakers and given their short films a national platform. Our first event was a small but hopeful screening in California. Since then\, we’ve celebrated and shared the work of more than 170 women filmmakers\, raising over $6.5 million for local women’s causes. Now our unique platform is showcased at over 200 events each season creating impact through dollars raised and awareness built toward some of the most pressing issues facing society today.

SUMMARY:Gabriel Iglesias
DESCRIPTION:Beloved Mexican-American comedian Gabriel Iglesias is a man of many talents\, and he employs them all in his uproarious stand-up act.  In addition to being a gifted storyteller Iglesias is a master of funny voices and absurd sound effects\, and his unexpected noises never fail to have audiences in stitches at his live shows. Whether he’s poking fun at his obesity by calling himself “Fluffy” or telling hilarious anecdotes about his high school reunion\, Iglesias is a lighthearted performer who always brings the laughs on his acclaimed tours.

SUMMARY:Autumn Soups and Quickbreads
DESCRIPTION:A drive to view the many colors of the turning foliage\, watching football on a crisp Saturday afternoon\, or carving pumpkins just before Halloween\, gives us that distinct Autumn feeling. And\, no food augments that comfy feeling of autumn better than hearty soup\, and its quintessential companion; home-baked bread. The inviting aroma of a simmering pot of homemade soup is hard to beat. Add a loaf of fresh baking bread to the mix and you have a sure-fire culinary hit for family and friends.

SUMMARY:Dance Theatre of Harlem
DESCRIPTION:Dance Theatre of Harlem is a leading dance institution of unparalleled global acclaim\, encompassing a professional touring company\, a leading studio school\, and a national and international education and community outreach program. Each component of Dance Theatre of Harlem carries a solid commitment towards enriching the lives of young people and adults around the world through the arts. Founded in 1969 by Arthur Mitchell and Karel Shook\, Dance Theatre of Harlem is considered “one of ballet’s most exciting undertakings” (The New York Times). Shortly after the assassination of The Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King\, Jr.\, Mitchell was inspired to start a school that would offer children — especially those in Harlem\, the community in which he was born — the opportunity to learn about dance and the allied arts. Now in its sixth decade\, Dance Theatre of Harlem has grown into a multi-cultural dance institution with an extraordinary legacy of providing opportunities for creative expression and artistic excellence that continues to set standards in the performing arts. Dance Theatre of Harlem has achieved unprecedented success\, bringing innovative and bold new forms of artistic expression to audiences in New York City\, across the country and around the world. Now a singular presence in the ballet world\, the Dance Theatre of Harlem Company tours nationally and internationally\, presenting a powerful vision for ballet in the 21st century. The 18-member\, multi-ethnic company performs a forward-thinking repertoire that includes treasured classics\, neoclassical works by George Balanchine and resident choreographer Robert Garland\, as well as innovative contemporary works that use the language of ballet to celebrate Arthur Mitchell’s belief that belongs to everyone. Through performances\, community engagement and arts education\, the Company carries forward Dance Theatre of Harlem’s message of empowerment through the arts for all. \nSponsored by Washoe County
