Net proceeds support college scholarships and other needs for local culinary students. Wash down all the tasty food with a local craft brew\, tall mixed drink\, glass of wine\, or tart and sweet lemonade. Besides the Reno food trucks\, this free\, family-friendly event features live music\, a large playground with train rides for the kids\, and more. The 27th annual scholarship fundraiser will take place on Saturday\, June 11 at Greater Nevada Field from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. \nSince 1994\, Beer Fest has enabled the Nevada Young Alumni Chapter to raise scholarship funds for deserving undergraduate and graduate students at the University of Nevada. They are proud to have awarded more than $85\,000 in scholarships over the past 15 years with nearly $60\,000 of that financial aid awarded over just the last four years.
